note to self: if you happen to stumble upon it, do not read Angel/Spike slash at work.
if anyone's interested (and i know you all are), Rilgoran (my EQ character) completed his Occultist Skullcap quest last night. afterward, rather than doing anything productive (in an In-game sense, because playing Everquest isn't really all that productive), he used his invisibility spell on himself, then went around bonking people on the head and tickling monks.

my life is so fulfilling.

tonight, i probably won't do anything productive either. Nephew #1 is coming over for a few hours.

funny story about my nephew (part of it's funny. most of it not so much): my sister was called into an after school meeting with my nephew's kindergarten teacher. he's not paying attention in class, and (my sister said the teacher really said this) he's scribbling rather than coloring within the lines so he can finish quickly and go play. also, the teacher was concerned that he's not keeping up with the other kids. the teacher handed my sister a list of words that says the kids should be able to read by this point, but, she said my nephew can't read them. as my sister is looking over the list, my nephew leaned over and read the words to his mom. it seems that he's just refusing to read them by saying that he can't. i laughed when my sister told me the tale, but she didn't think it was so funny.

last night, i had nightmares about Kendra (the Slayer called after Buffy died in season one) returning as a vampire. she had a huge vampire coterie under her command, and they were trying to capture me because i knew where the Gem of Amara was. they didn't catch me (came close a few times), but they did slaughter most of the people i work with (still trying to decide if that last part is a bad thing).

speaking of, Was Angel Right to Destroy the Gem of Amara?
Scooby Doo trailer.

Now who's the damsel in distress?

anyone watch Celebrity Boxing last night? anyone doubt that Tonya and Todd would win? anyone else wish this show was Live Action Celebrity Death Match?
a few live-action Scooby Doo stills. Buffy's looking cute in the Grape Ape/Barney colors, but i don't remember the original Daphne Blake showing that much cleavage.

why does the name Scoobysnack.net crack me up so much? why does Animated Lust have nothing to do with lust?

in case anyone's missed it, TVGuide print's current issue is "TV's Top MVPs 2002." named are James Marsters in Supporting Players and Joss Whedon in Writers (one of many sections absent from the Online article). listed in Faces to Watch are V'ulcan B'abe Jolene Blalock (with a *really* unflattering photo) and Kryptonian hottie Tom Welling.

also, there's an article commemorating the 25th anniversary of the debut of Three's Company, which i only mention to again say 'Joyce DeWitt for President in 2004!'

Monday, March 11, 2002

Crossroads and Crossroads, both films starring whores.
James Marsters is appearing on the cover of two magazines this month: Cinescape (scroll down) and Starburst.

been sick the last couple of days. yesterday, i had trouble breathing, like an all day asthma attack. my boss helpfully suggests that it's bronchitis. i'm hoping for something more exotic.

i'm going back to bed now.

the Evil Dead: Special Edition DVD comes out today (according to Dark Horizons. i've not seen mention of it anywhere else), and it has a kick-ass looking cover. i'd get it just for that, but come on, it's Evil Dead! the DVD also has commentary by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell.
i'm really quite worried for Wesley now. everything bad seems to happen to him, and he never catches a break. poor guy.

and eww, please, Fred and Gunn… too much sweetness rots! stop with the cutesy stuff, please, before i retch.

i miss Cordy.

i've been discussing "The Time Machine" with my DEQ friend, and we've decided that it'll probably be adapted into a bad series for television, starring Carmen Electra and a Pierce Brosnan look-and-sound-alike, and maybe a couple of plucky kids and a wise-cracking minority person with strange "customs". bleh.

in celebration of this glum possibility, here's some of my favorite time travelling television serieseses (in which time travel is an integral part of the premise):

Quantum Leap
The Time Tunnel
Voyagers!
Seven Days

honorable mentions:
Sliders
Farscape
X-Files episode "Monday"

action/adventure programmes i like that feature chesty/skin-suit-clad/scantily clad women-babe-things:
Mutant X
Relic Hunter
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World
Wonder Woman
"Sergi said Kulhanek was put in a barbershop type chair where liquor was poured down her throat." Before she knew it, she was dead drunk."

and she was absolutely powerless to stop them!

whore. take some responsibility for your actions. feh.
[via Max, whose Buffy the SimVampire Slayer photos in the photo album somehow leave out Spike. oh, it's also a good thing that Alias post was at the very bottom.]

hmm… "Inside Hollywood's Greatest," a show featuring celebrity autopsies. it's my idea. don't steal it.

heck, why wait for autopsies? vivisection, anyone? first episode: Britney Spears (to quell any rumor of her starring in any Dazzler movie).
saw Artificial Intelligence: AI last night. never really had any interest or disinterest in it before. it was just kind of there. my thoughts on it now: Haley Joel Osment is a little creepy, in a 'I'm gonna star in the next remake of a Cape Fear' kind of way. after his 'mommy' dumped him off in the woods, and he's running from the Flesh Fair hounds, i kept thinking "where's Rick Deckard when you need him?" i also kept thinking "where can i get my own Jude Lawbot?"

the real unexamined story, though, is why William Hurt is building himself an army of Haley Joel Osments. can you imagine them marching across the planet? how terrifying would that be? no wonder humans are extinct in that future (which really should have been cut. blech. unnecessary sugary sappiness).

my rating (1 to 10):
base value: 6 (hey, any movie with William Hurt starts out a little higher than most)

modifiers: Jude Law +1; creepy little boy -3; cute teddy bear that i really want +2; sugary ending -2; half litre of rum i consumed while watching +2

final tally = 6 (or probably wouldn't choose to watch it again)
via Sci Fi Wire: The DVDfile.com Web site reported that the complete second-season DVD of Buffy the Vampire Slayer will hit stores on June 11.

yippee!
NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO! I WILL BURN HOLLYWOOD TO THE GROUND IF THIS HAPPENS!

via Dark Horizons: "Wild rumour of the day - pop diva Britney Spears rumoured to be up to play the superhero [Dazzler] (a pop star who can create light using her mutant abilities) in an adaptation of the 70's Marvel comic."

please, god, curse Britney with facial leprosy so this never happens. i'd rather my beloved Dazzler never make it to the big screen.

why couldn't my parents have named me something cool like 'Balthazar,' 'Ironicus' or 'Innothule'?
[from Sci Fi Wire] The Gotham Clock Tower Web site reported that Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks) will play Dr. Harleen Quinzel in the pilot episode of Birds of Prey, which is based on a DC Comics series.
ack! i just read a possible spoiler for X-Files that means i'll have to start watching it again (i'm neither posting nor linking to the source here). it's terrible to contemplate, but i did notice that one portion of the spoiler is something that doesn't make sense, thus casting doubt on its veracity (as if the source of the rumored spoiler isn't enough to cast buttloads of doubt on it).

i took the day off for a court hearing that my family is dealing with, but it didn't get happen. the attorneys immediately asked for a continuance, which was granted. bah! but, not a wasted vacation day at all because i got to spend it with the Boyfriend, which is always a good thing.

so, tonight's Buffy night, featuring the return of Riley! what's everyone's favorite ex-Initiative, ex-Buffy boy toy been up to in the jungles of South America? why is he back? what will his arrival mean for Buffy and Spike? will he take his shirt off (i'm praying for it)? find out tonight!

oh, and about the previews for the next new Angel: go Wesley! i knew you'd do it!

Chuck Jones passed away on Friday and i'm just finding out about it. i think i'm going to have to take the rest of the day off.
Current Sci Fi Wire poll: In Queen of the Damned, Stuart Townsend takes on the role of the vampire Lestat, a part played by Tom Cruise in 1994's Interview With the Vampire. Who's the better bloodsucker?

Current Results:
Cruise doesn't suck. 22%
Townsend doesn't bite. 13%
Neither--I'm an Angel fan. 64%
the Boyfriend rented three movies this weekend with ex-Scoobs, by chance.

Bones, with Bianca Lawson. Kendra without an accent? no Mr. Pointy? eh, that's ok. interesting story idea, but everything was all too obvious for my tastes. plus, Pam Grier is staring to get scary.

Soul Survivors, with Eliza Dushku. she's tough talking, and bad ass (like all her other roles), and lesbianic. i think. the movie was very confusing. falling asleep for the last 20 minutes probably didn't help, but i was awakened at the end by the Boyfriend shouting "WTF? That doesn't make sense!" and he was awake for the whole thing. also, is it me, or does Casey Affleck sound like he has a mouthful of goldfish when he speaks?

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, with Eliza Dushku and Marc "I'm so yummy they should bottle me and sell me at finer retail establishments" Blucas. this movie, fun as it is on its own, is much funnier after a half litre of rum.

::sigh:: a voice that melts
i was thinking about my campaign to have Joyce DeWitt elected President in 2004, when i suddenly wondered, "hey! what happened to the Ropers?" i never knew. all i remember was suddenly having Ralph Furley.

questions such as this are why god/Al Gore created the internet: the Ropers got their own series. i'm sure most of you already knew. a lot of the time, i'm a real dumb-ass when it comes to pop culture, but i think i can be forgiven for not knowing this. it looks to have lasted only one year, and because i don't even recognize the theme song, i'm certain that i'd never watched it.

anyway, vote Joyce DeWitt in 2004!

Thursday, February 21, 2002

in the same vein as the "Haven't talked Trek in a while" post on Monday this week, here's my "Haven't talked Buffy comics in a while" post:

the Dark Horse website gives the Tales of the Slayer TPB a publication date of yesterday, which would explain why i haven't been able to find it, though they sent me an email notice two months ago saying it was available.

beginning next month, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer title begins a three issue arc ("Death of Buffy") covering events soon after Buffy's death at the end of season five, including how the Scoobs decided to bring her back.

Fray #6 is set for release at the end of March, with #7 in May and the conclusion in July. all of those dates are subject to change, of course. iirc, Fray #8 was originally set for last month, but hey, i can wait for it.

and some news from the DH Buffy zone: a new Willow and Tara limited series is in the works (check the front page for the story). GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has nominated Buffy the Vampire Slayer as one of the five best comics for 2002. The American Library Association has awarded Buffy: Ring of Fire an award for Outstanding Graphic Novel. And in the second week of January, Diamond Comics named Buffy: Haunted #1 (written by Jane Espenson) the top reordered comic, beating Superman #600 and Dark Knight Strikes Back #1.

there's an unofficial, anonymous source type thing saying that Warners has decided to release the rest of Babylon 5 on DVD. that should make some people very happy.

Tuesday, February 19, 2002

oh yeah, also saw "The Score" and "Two Can Play That Game." liked both, though watching either again by my own choice isn't likely.
i saw "O" this weekend. i didn't have the foggiest idea of what it was about until The Boyfriend told me "It's based on Othello." i thought that sounded cool. i didn't realize it was the inbred offspring of "Basketball Diaries" and "Romeo + Juliet," which, course, makes me wonder, 'is Josh Harnett the Leo DiCaprio of the new millennium?' feh.

honestly, the movie wasn't bad. i liked it. but i don't understand why the advertisements for the DVD release call it 'the controversial' film. i didn't think it was all that controversial.

also, if your planning to buy it and have a choice, there's no need to buy the "Deluxe Two Disc DVD!" i thought the bonus features sucked.

saw "Bubble Boy" too. added it to my Must Have list.

interesting: Supreme Court upholds school grading practice.

doubly so: Supreme Court to decide online copyright debate.
a friend of The Boyfriend stopped by for a while last night, just as Angel was coming on. she (the friend) had never seen the show before.

keeping in mind such scenes as the one from the ep "Carpe Noctem" (Cordy tells Marcus-as-Angel that he should tell puppy-love-Fred that the office is no place for romance. Marcus-as-Angel checks out his clothing and surmises that Angel must be gay), the friend sees the scene in last night's ep with Angel talking with the Host, and says 'Are they some kind of demon gay couple?' i giggled.

anyway, by the end of the episode, i was yelling at Angel "your hair goes straight up and you're bloody stupid! if you don't tell her dumb-ass, she won't know!" please, Cordy, the Groo? not cute. whether long haired and animal pelt clad or trimmed and Angel-clothes clad, not cute. and i caught that Battlefield Earth thing. yes, Groo does look like John Travolta.

and what was with Groo's eyes? first half of the show, they were brown. last half, this weird blue. thus, Groo's a demon and Angel must kill him.

why the hell doesn't someone slap Angel?

as for the Wesley-Gunn-Fred triangle, poor Wesley! i'm sad for him and all, because i like Wesley and he's sad, but i kinda like thinking that's he's not sad that Fred didn't choose him. instead, he's sad that Gunn didn't choose him. yeah, i'm a delusional Wesley/Gunn 'shipper, and i'll seize anything i can to support the thesis that they were meant for each other (hey, i can't be any more delusional than those Buffy/Angel 'shippers, right?).

summary: Angel needs bitchslappin'. Fred should jump back. Groo should die. horribly.
i haven't mentioned Star Trek in a while, so i'll fill the void.

i got way too excited last night when i discovered that the Voyager ep "Body and Soul" was on. it's one of my favorite episodes, true, but i like to limit how much i geek out (that's why i've known for more than a month that "The Inner Light," my favorite TNG ep, will be showing on TNN on the 26th at 10:30pm CST, and i really do have it marked on my calendar. yeah, i'm not too geeky). it was the first time i thought of Jeri Ryan as anything other than the bimbo in the tight costume.

<insert segue> bimbo in tight costume: i know it can take a while before the actors and writers get really comfortable with the roles on a series, but i'm still waiting for more from V'ulcan B'abe on Enterprise. really, how hard is it to act completely disinterested in everything and speak in a monotone? Robert Beltran did it for almost the entire last half of the Voyager series (up until the whole romance with Seven, which the writers seemed to have pulled out of their asses. where'd the hell did that come from? it was probably one of Beltran's contractual options: 'Few interesting scenes in exchange for kissing Jeri Ryan,' which, if you think about it, isn't all the bad for a heterosexual actor. if it'd been me, i would have demanded the right to frolic nude through Janeway's season one hair).

<insert another witty segue> geek: Why the Klingons would beat the crap out of the Hirogen. that one goes beyond my geek threshold.

i hope that's enough Star Trek to hold everyone for a while. for now, i return you to your regularly scheduled Buffy obsessiveness.

new small photo of the Scooby gang (the original, though Buffy's in this one too) sans Scooby.
Marc Blucas, looking good.
yummy Riley.
did anyone catch Alyson Hannigan on Politically Incorrect last night? she's so cute, and has the best facial expressions. there were waaaaay too many commercial breaks, she didn't get to say a whole lot, and she was seated next to a guy who said something like 'If you hit a woman and she comes back, it means she likes it.'

he also said that whores don't get paid for sex. and he was wearing an ugly-assed leprechaun costume.

i don't know who the guy was, but he fancied himself as an archbishop, though i gathered from the other members of the panel that he is actually a pimp. one who likes to hit his whores, apparently. of course, he doesn't think whores get paid, so i'm guessing that they're not giving him any money. dumb ass. maybe the whores are saving up to get out of the country once they've all jumped him and pounded his ass into the pavement.

anyway, poor Alyson had to sit there next to him, dumstruck by some of the things he said. i think i'd have gone over to sit on the other couch.
let's say that someone has offered to give me a ticket to anywhere that Southwest flies. i've not flown before (always been terrified of the idea), and i'm considering accepting the ticket. i'd have to use it by March 1, and i'd only be able to stay, at most, for the day, wherever i went. where should i go?

Gamespot is on the Websense filtered pages list. however, Gamespot UK is not. makes sense, in a "We're stupid dumb-asses" kind of way, just as blocking a PC game information site makes sense (some people can read about murder and death and The Evil That (Hu)Men Do and think things like "I'm ashamed for being human." for me, things like discovering that someone thinks Gamespot needs to be blocked causes me to feel shame at being part of this species. i want to be a lemur. they don't do stupid things like this)

anyway, i was trying to link to the article about EA's announcement of The Sims: Vacation.

i should have said 'liquor' for Lent.

my roommate has been spending nearly all of his available time with The Guy. on Monday, he told me that we, just he and i, would hang out Tuesday night (i was even going to postpone my Buffy viewage). he stood me up. when he finally showed up, it was four hours later, and he had The Guy with him. so, after much gnashing of teeth by both of us, he agreed to a Wednesday night him-and-me thing.

last night, he again showed up four hours late. he'd been playing chauffeur for The Guy. after more gnashing of teeth, and over a litre of rum, we attempted to work things out by agreeing that he's an asshole and i'm a whiney little bitch. we also discussed his budding relationship with The Guy, why i think it's a bad idea, and how he's beginning to see the psychotic episodes and stalkeresque obsessive behavior that i warned him about.

progress.

after that, my memory of the conversation gets fuzzy. i remember going to bed. i remember the boyfriend (mine) coming home. i remember that he had very cold feet. i also remember The Roommate saying we'd hang out tonight (the boyfriend has to work), but i don't think i'm going to wait for that.

i've decided that my Lent sacrifices will be compassion, optimism, and hope.

Mike had a few friends over last night. sometime after i went to bed, one of them downloaded and installed one of those search-the-internet-for-porn programs onto my computer (even worse, the guy is straight. what the hell would i want straight porn on my computer for?). what kind of asshole downloads and installs programs onto another person's computer without permission? i don't want his greasy, Licks-His-Fingers-After-Eating hands on my computer, and really, i don't even want his lazy, no-job-having, eats-my-food, sleeps-and-SWEATS-on-my-couch ass in the apartment. baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!

anyone ever watch the top half of the TVGuide channel? you know the 90 Sec. Life Stories they do? the Mark Wahlberg bio cracks me up (and it's conveniently available for viewing here).
WTF? the WB is moving Glory Days into Angel's timeslot next month and we'll have no new eps for five weeks? and no Angel tonight? what the hell is wrong with this world? why the frak are they showing two episodes of the atrocious 7th Heaven (if ever there was a show that needed a natural disaster to wipe out the entire cast and crew, this is the one)?

bah!

A mix of vampire and marauding, furry lizard, the Chupacabra has become one of the most common beasts studied under the general heading of cryptozoology… Eyewitness accounts during a rash of alleged attacks in 1995, many in Puerto Rico, described the animal as having a "reptilian body, oval head, bulging red eyes, fanged teeth and long, darting tongue," according to a report at the time in the daily San Juan Star.

That same description has weathered decades of scrutiny. First appearing in the late 1960s, alleged Chupacabra attacks picked up markedly in the mid-'90s.

i'm not sure. i wasn't invited.
i loved this scene (found the text here in a Salute to Doug Petrie):

Spike has arrived in L.A. just in time to narrate Angel's rescue of a young damsel in distress:

SPIKE
(damsel voice)
"But there must be some way I can show my appreciation . . ."
(Angel voice)
"No, helping those in need's my job. And working up a load of sexual tension, then prancing away like a magnificent poof is truly thanks enough . . ."
(damsel voice)
"I . . . understand. I have a nephew who's gay, so . . ."
(Angel voice)
"Say no more! Evil's still afoot, and I'm almost out of that Nancy-boy hair gel I like so much! Quickly! To the Angel-Mobile! Away!"
from Sci Fi Wire: "Doug Petrie, a writer for UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has been hired to write a draft of the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, …the BBCi Web site reported."
i thought i'd read the Stewart had himself said that the upcoming ST movie would be his last, but i guess not: Patrick Stewart told Star Trek Monthly that in regards to word that this 'Nemesis' is there [sic] last outing - "Nobody's telling us that". Can the crew come back for another? "I don't see why not". [via Dark Horizons]

it's only like a month late or something, but i've finally published my review of "Gone" woo hoo!
okay, going back to the musical "Once More, With Feeling," can anyone please complete what Willow and Tara were saying at the beginning after the 'Uh... did anyone burst into song?' line? i got the "We did a whole duet about dinner last night" then something about couscous. also, Anya is saying something about coconuts. did anyone get all of that? the closed captioning stayed with Giles and Buffy mostly, and had a little bit of Anya's. please, someone help me with this.
[SPOILERS ahead] "Dead Things", tonight's Buffy, was not at all the episode i expected it to be, in a suprising and good way. it's one that i really liked, but the entire episode could have consisted of just the Buffy and Tara scenes and it would still have been a smashing episode. Buffy, begging Tara to say that there's something wrong with her, to me, settled the question of whether or not she loves Spike. there is no doubt now. B/A 'shippers, your ship has sunk.
it's not a good thing when you come home to find that your roommate is snogging one of your exes that you'd rather not see.

i could barely tolerate being around the guy when we were dating. now it looks like he'll be at my apartment often.

i stopped by the breakroom for a cup of coffee, and they had the television tuned to whatever channel is showing the Superbowl news conference. some guy named Tom who is the quarterback for one of the teams (i still don't know who's playing. don't want to) was answering questions. they really shouldn't let players speak on camera. the guy's a total dumb-ass. 'I'm comfortable with him, and he's comfortable with me, and he's comfortable with himself and I'm comfortable with myself.'

this is only my second post of the day, and i've already used "-ass" three times. today's an -ass day. i'm declaring today Internation Ass Day, so, either sit on yours all day, or get off of yours and haul it somewhere, and maybe go tap some if that's how you want to celebrate. let's all celebrate Ass!
i downloaded the "Five By Five" and "Sanctuary" last night, the two Angel eps that follow up Buffy's "This Year's Girl" and "Who Are You" (the 'Faith wakes up from the coma' eps). i only got to watch "Five By Five" (because the other ep took 4½ hours to download, pushing it 90 minutes past my bedtime) and it was well worth the slow-assed download times. i knew that this was where the Faith storyline was going (i'd seen the Angel ep that ends with Angel visiting Faith) and "Five By Five" fit perfectly with "Who Are You.". the fight scene was kick-ass, the way i'd think that a supernaturally strong vampire and a supernaturally strong Slayer should fight. and Wesley decked Faith! way to grow some balls, Wesley!

i'm anxious to get home tonight so i can watch "Sanctuary"

"Doublemeat Palace" doubleplusgood.

the preview for next week left me choked up. imagine what the episode is going to do.
hey! me too!

placental Venezuelans -- 23,902,200,000

"pluckier Venezuelans" didn't come up with anything (that'll change once Google finds this. there's still the superlative).

i'm enjoying this too much.
i'm a little irked that Angel wasn't on last night. they showed an ep of Smallville instead.

i'm even more irked that i am obsessive fan who usually knows weeks in advance if there's a schedule change affecting the shows he watches and i work for TVGuide, but still didn't know until last night. feh.

Jean always finds the coolest things, though i wonder, does the chess set only have six pieces per side, or do you get a whole bunch of Xanders?

i want the chess set and the poster and the mousepad sets and the wire-bound notebooks, but i really want this:
i'd carry this to work everyday
i've been hit suddenly with a craving for horseradish.

someone buy this bunny for me, please!. [via Jean]
China's first cloned calf died, but the second is doing well, they say. i hadn't heard that China was cloning anything, but this seems to be less about science than about the commercial possibilities (the industrialization of cloning technology). glad to see someone's going forward with it.

Dark Horizons "has word on a new Disney flick about garden gnome romance (and as its Disney it'll be clean so get your mind out of the gutter)."

garden gnomes are evil little beasties that will attack and devour you. they don't know how to love. all they think about is their hunger for human flesh. Disney should not portray them as cutesy little friends who live in your garden, an obvious attempt to take garden gnomes mainstream and make them acceptable. if this movie goes forward, i predict that gnomes will be 'the new thing' and that, across the world, four of five homes will place garden and yard gnomes throughout their property. it'll give the little bastards the numbers and positions they need to successfully rise up, devour most of us and enslave the survivors. we can't let this happen. we must stop Disney and destoy all gnomes.

this article, "Why She Slays Us" (a good read in itself), mentions an upcoming book i'm going to have to get: Fighting the Forces: What's at Stake in Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
an email from a friend at the DEQ:

I just spoke to [a woman] who said she was tortured by the Al Qaeda and watched her family die and that Osama bin Laden owns this landfill where they will release these toxic chemicals that will kill her because she's allergic to everything. She is the only case known to science and her son John Adams the sixth took her to washington to plead her case.

isn't insanity cute?
although it sounds a little like something from the surrealist complement generator, here's the description for a program i'd like to watch:

From the cockpit of a Tornado Fighter Bomber, dip into the history of margarine and plankton, dance at the ballet Copelia, and blow up a dam in Norway with a British commando team to find out why and how Hitler never harnessed heavy water and the A-Bomb.

"Connections" on Discovery Science.
James Marsters, on Spike's nudity. [MAY BE SPOILERY!*]

* now i'm blameless if you follow the link and it actually is spoilery. nyah!
A federal judge in San Francisco ruled against George Lucas in his suit to block the producers of pornographic Star Wars-like movies from distributing their products, E! Online reported. The judge decided against blocking the sale of the animé saga of Wank Solo, clearing the way for Star Ballz creator Media Market Group to resume hawking the $14.95 video online, the site reported.

heh.

i want a Dictionary.com t-shirt.
in the "Why not just call me Horny Giles or Desperate for a Shag Giles?" vein, an unfortunate name.
can anyone recommend a good book on the history of China or Japan or both?

i want a Slave Cordelia action figure! i also want a Faith action figure (but that's mainly because my Action!Buffy is tired of kicking Shotgun Mary's ass. she wants some real competition). see more Angel action figures.
