Superhero Hype, one stop shopping for all your superhero movie information needs:

no Ethan Embry as Nightcrawler. instead, it's Alan Cumming.

and Aaron Stanford, who SHH says will be Pyro, is quoted: "The thing is, the character of Pyro is so completely different. In the comic book he's this Australian ex-pulp novelist professional criminal and in the movie it's a very different character."

i don't think i can like someone who speaks like this: "I think everyone loved Wolverine, you know what I'm saying?" ick.

on The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen [source]: Our League source advised us that the inclusion of a Yankee character "was because the studio wanted an American (character) to break up the all British thing." But why take such a radical departure from the original Mark Twain creation by making him a police detective? Our source explained that since "Twain's sequel was called Tom Sawyer, Detective" it makes sense that when Sawyer grew up "he'd be an All American cop." feh! wanna get terroristicalous on a studio exec for that!

via Dark Horizons:

item 1: Looks like the reports of Ethan Embry joining the cast were premature. Variety reports that Alan Cumming has signed to play the shadowy blue-tinted teleporting mutant Nightcrawler when shooting begins in Vancouver on June 17th. The news of Aaron Stanford as Pyro is correct however, whilst Ian McKellan said in a recent interview about what we can expect: "To ensure my compliance with this understandable constraint (the lengthy legal disclaimer), each page of my script is over-printed with my name. Not wishing to spoil anyone's enjoyment of the sequel, let alone risking incarceration in a Fox-ey plastic cell, I intend to obey my orders, I'm afraid".

item 2: "Encouraged by the success of the UK tour he [Andrew Lloyd Weber] wants to fast tracked "Sunset Boulevard" for production [into film]... Edward Norton, Robert Downey, Jr and Hugh Jackman are wanted for the male lead"

(Hugh Jackman can have any role, whether he he fits it or not, as long as he has at least one extended half-naked scene)

a ranking of shows for the end of the year. why is anyone still watching Friends? it's crappier now than it was 5 years ago, and it was crap then. Everybody Loves Raymond? feh. is that Inside Schwartz at 15? how in the hell? the show sucked and it was cancelled! and for the love of all that is holy, what about the cesspool of suckage ranked 4th and 5th? (hehe, just kidding! you know i'm just asking for a good ol' Alabama whoopin'! i didn't watch either, so i can't judge them).

Spike's opening scene in season 7, via Schmuck Bait.
Buffy’s War: Good and Evil 101.
via Dark Horizons:

item one: The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Ethan Embry has scored the role of 'Nightcrawler', the teleporting blue-skinned mutant in the upcoming "X-Men" sequel. 'Nightcrawler' and 'Pyro' are the only new mutants in the next chapter, 'Pyro' was also recently cast with newcomer Aaron Stanford ("Tadpole") scoring the part. (i thought Pyro was one of the students in the first one)

item two: MTV apparently re-iterated rumours that Natalie Portman has signed on to be a part of the new scenes being filmed for Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi - she'll shoot scenes during the production of Episode III which'll then be reinserted to the DVD release of 'Jedi.' (oy? i didn't know they were shooting new scenes for Jedi. i wonder if it's gonna be one of those badly edited and dubbed things)

LUKE
Leia... do you remember your mother? Your
real mother?

LEIA
Just a little bit. She died when I was very
young. [begin dub by voice actor Brian Cummings]Wait. She's not dead. She's right over there![/dub]

AMIDALA
Hi!

LUKE
What do you remember?

LEIA
Just...images, really. Feelings. [dub]And that she
lives here on Endor in the Ewok tree city[/dub]

AMIDALA
Yoo hoo! I'm right over here, playing Space
Chess with this Ewok! And I'm winning!

LUKE
Tell me.

LEIA
(a little surprised at his insistence)
She was very beautiful. Kind, but...sad.
(looks up) Why are you asking me all this?

He looks away.

LUKE
I have no memory of my mother. I never knew
her. [dub]Until now![/dub]

AMIDALA
Yes, Luke, I am your mother!
