the building's power cut out today. the phones and network went down. i've never seen so many tech people running so quickly before. hilarious! they were running in and out of glass-walled rooms and darkened closets. they'd group together in huge numbers for a few seconds, then scatter. there was much moaning and 'oh shit!'ing. the boss came around and told everyone to go to lunch for 90 minutes. everyone but the techs cheered. as i left the parking lot, fire engines came screaming in. there was no fire, and no one's sure of why TFD showed up, but it was grand fun for us anyway.
