today has been a busy day.

first, i slept in. not the feverish-i-don't-feel-well-i'm-not-getting-up slept in of the previous two days, but the i-don't-have-to-go-anywhere-so-why-get-out-of-bed slept in. i often don't get to do that on the weekends, so it was nice.

i climb out of bed at noon and decided to do my taxes, following that with a long hot shower and a leisurely shave.

afterwards, i made a circuit of the local bookstores, not really looking for anything since i already have a stack of books i've yet to read.

after bugging the booksellers for a while, i decided to have a haircut and style (i ended up returning to the style i've been wearing for a while), then a late lunch.

as i ate, i had the thought that i should do one constructive thing today, and decided that i should find a new mechanic (it really sucks to date your mechanic. when you break up, not only are you sleeping alone, but you also have to start paying someone to repair your car. not that i was dating him to avoid automotive bills. just something to keep in mind if i again start dating a guy that looks so damned good with 10W-30 on him).

now, i'm back home and the sun is setting. my roommate is taking his mooch/pseudoboyfriend out to dinner and whatever else it is that they do, so i will have the house to myself tonight. if you want to drop by, just bring the rumaki.
